Zeena and Alex had chosen Ravello to get married, a tipical little country in Amalfi Coast , in south Italy.
True stories of loves, passions and unique feelings that have no words to describe it accordingly will be directly the bride Zeena to tell us their wedding.
Why did you choose Italy/Ravello to get married?
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of getting married in Italy. I’ve always been fascinated with the little cobbled streets, enchanting views and authenticity, obviously the food and wine isn’t too bad either. My husband Alex and I googled numerous wedding venues in Italy and the Amalfi Coast was proving to be a very popular location, we came across a little town called Ravello.
Ravello was everything we imagined it to be, traditional, authentic and romantic – a perfect wedding location! The town square, right next to the Ravello Cathedral proved to be a significant spot for wedding guests to meet at all times of the day with indoor/outdoor restaurants and bars.
We chose to hold the wedding ceremony in Principessa Di Piemonte and the evening reception at Villa Eva, a Mediterranean Villa located in the heart of Ravello.
How was the day? Tell us the story…
Waking up on the day of the wedding was surreal. I wanted to enjoy every special moment from beginning to end. My maid of honour, bridesmaid and wedding planner were all at hand from morning until midnight. With the wedding starting at 4 pm, I made sure I had ample time to get ready, which did pass by very quickly! I stayed at Hotel Giordano, which was 1-minute walk from the town square and 5-minute walk to the wedding ceremony venue.
After a delicious breakfast, we began the wedding makeover! My Mum joined us shortly after midday as well as Oana the photographer of “Tell Your Story” and the hair stylist. Once we were ready, we met my Dad in the hotel reception who was patiently waiting to walk me down the aisle! Oana managed to take some beautiful natural photo’s of us on route to the wedding ceremony venue and whilst the nerves started kicking in we soon arrived at Principessa Di
Piemonte to commence the wedding vows.
After exchanging our vows, a few tears and cheers later we were married!!! We then walked with the wedding guests to Villa Eva where some stunning photos were captured by Oana and Valentin who also emphasised the importance of taking pictures of just the Bride and Groom on the wedding day. We spared 5-10 minutes to take some beautiful photos with a scenic view of the Amalfi Coast in the background whilst the guests patiently waited to throw the confetti. We then joined the guests for welcome drinks and canapes followed by orchestrated group photographs in the enchanting garden at Villa Eva. A delicious 4-course traditional Italian meal followed with a live pianist, the speeches and lots of dancing!
What did you like most about the day?
It’s difficult to pinpoint my favourite part of the day as I absolutely loved every moment! Walking down the aisle behind the little page boys, seeing the Groom for the first time that morning thinking wow my Husband looks a million dollars and trying not to get to emotional at that point was a pivotal moment! I couldn’t believe I was walking down the aisle towards my best friend, living the most magical day of our lives, a moment that we will remember forever!
